how to paint camoflauge?
火曜日, 9月 9th, 2008You will need paint, a roller (and tray), and at least two painting/staining pads in a small and medium size, and a small brush.
Choose your hue range (sand, forest…I believe you can find standard color charts on the internet if you feel that will be helpful) Take a swatch of fabric, picture, or color charts to your home center and go through the color samples. Choose your colors, making sure they are in the same tonal range (most swatch samples will indicate tonal compatibility). Your paint selections can also be tweaked if needed. You will need three-to-four colors (possibly five) depending on your scheme..
If your wall needs priming, have the primer tinted to the lightest color in your selection.
Using your fabric swatch or picture as a guideline, randomly roller your lightest color on the walls. After that is dry, with your painting pads, randomly swash the middle range color(s) twisting your wrist to make rounds and swirls. Then, finish with your deepest tones. Paint can overlap, as this will also give you some nice shadow effect. The edges of your colors do not need to be perfect, it is, after all camouflage, with wavy lines and irregular patches. Go back and fill in spots or clean up any edges with your brush.
Clean your supplies, any mess, and stand back and admire.
